I was mostly disappointed with the scare-tactics security -- I didn't get searched or even metal detected, the security guards merely looked at me and my giant knapsack and said "Go on in." Sheesh. I wish I'd brought my camera to take pictures of the mountains of empty water bottles and my friends getting redder and redder.
I think the standout "opening act" was The Flaming Lips - I don't know much of their music but their performance was so much more inspired and fun than the rest of the bands. Fuck you, Rush! I missed Kathleen Edwards and La Chicane while on a hunt for the mythical free water, but that was alright.
