The Ian Whitcomb Phenomenon

So for a couple of years now, on AMG, on that little point of comparison list below major artists, telling us who is lighter, heavier, denser, thicker, darker more pesemistic, etc... I've noticed the name of Ian Whitcomb fits into almost every band in a "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" type effect. It works out where if you keep clicking those things at the bottom, youll find Ian is heavier than Metallica, lighter than Michael Bolton, Darker and more Pessemistic than Buddy Holly, more arranged than Peter Criss, more sensual and playful than axel rose, and is more complicated than Winger... His classifications make no sense, and I'm not the only one who has pointed out Ians seemingly cult-like status on AMG. Can anyone explain this?
