Be cooler if they'd been able to locate a few tunes, demos, etc. of those tunes that Clark planned on putting on the record when it was supposedly going to be a double-album...

i listened to this yesterday and fell back in love. so great

i've listened to no other, um, 100 times this year? something like that. or at least the first side a hundred times. i'm obsessed, i gotta admit. with the first side. though i love the 2nd side too.

Better than Younger Than Yesterday! It has no "Mind Gardens".

gene going funky on the title track is like LOL in the best possible sense.
i think i prefer the second side but its all good

another shout-out to ivo watts-russell for turning me on to strength of strings back in 1986. this mortal coil will always be my fave freak folk group.

This is the one album which can truly be described as Cosmic American Music.

Gene Clark was the unsung genius of American music and this masterpiece proves it.
