Friction (Japanese) info request

I have a great album by a Japanese band Friction entitled "Skin Deep" on CBS/Sony (Japan, circa 1982). It fits in well with PIL and the Gang of Four. Does anyone have ANY info about them, including other releases, spin-offs, availability? Please, and Thank You.

Friction was a punk band from the late 70s, supposedly the first no-wave band in Japan, though I kind of just think of them as a normal new wave or punk. Anyway, their leader was Reck, who is still playing, and who used to perform in a band called Optical*8 with Otomo Yoshihide and Hoppy Kamiyama. I think Tzadik has a Friction record.

A compilation rereleased on CD, "Tokyo Rocks", has a couple of songs by Friction, along with Mr. Kite and a few others. Reck was Ikue Mori's friend, and travelled to NYC together in the late '70's. Reck was in an early incarnation of the Contortions.

Is there an album before "Skin Deep"?
Is the more current stuff worth checking out?

people really hit the 'no wave' thing hard when trying to sell their albums. i've heard a live album and a self-titled one and both are really excellent punky stuff. gasaneta's better, though.

Tokyo Rocks is all bands from the late '70s and they're all pretty bad except for Friction.

But what about "Replicant Walk?" That's the only one I ever had.

They did some really weird abstract cut music videos. Very raw cuts with heavy over/under exposure film effects, Really great stuff, hunt it donw if you can find it. I guess it is pretty rare.
