Quick question for the reggae contingent. Anyone know a track (I'm assuming it's from between late 70s and mid 80s) with a lyric that goes "They didn't know Jah! (after all this time?). They didn't know jah, and so they were left behind." I used to have it on a compilation tape, but I never knew it's name. Now I'm 8000 miles away from that tape, and trying to find it online.

The lyric is sung in a beautiful haunting falseto melody. Damn, I need to hear this again!

Is it sung by women ? I know a version of this song by Althea & Donna.

I don't think I know this, but is it the same as The Royal Rasses 'They know not Jah'?

Thanks,

It's not Wailing Souls : "They don't know Jah!" Already downloaded that to great disappointment. The melody is far more plangent.

I'm pretty sure it's a falseto guy rather than a woman. But I'll look for the Althea and Donna. Also for the Royal Rasses.

cheers. Keep those suggestions coming in :-)
