Why is Roy Baraclough thanked at the end of '24 Hour Party People'?

That's right. The first name on the thank-yous list, before Tony Wilson et al is Roy Baraclough, ie, Les Dawson's old comedy partner and Alec Gilroy off Coronation Street. Any idea why?

No idea, I remember thinking the same thing, one thing I do remember is that (allegedly) Roy Baraclough was involved in a relationship with John Mundy, another former North West news presenter
