Bananarama "More Than Physical"

Best Prince rip-off ever. I particularly like how, on the chorus, these really hawt (harmony) vocals alternate with their typical pramface (unison) bleating. I just used the word 'pramface'. Well these chicks invented the whole concept, they were kind of the Black Sabbath to the Spice Girls' Nirvana. But back to the song! Those murmuring bits are like suspended-second chords! Ever fuckin' tried it vocally? Everybody besides maybe Dan Perry finds it impossible to not just involuntarily move to the note the other person's doing and fuck it up! They might've overdubbed it tho. I was convinced Pete Waterman is an actual musical genius after that 'Pop Idol' bit when he demonstrated the difference between 'singing' and 'reciting' by reciting-then-singing the same (only six notes!) phrase to that guy who was whining about his 'music degree'

Rest of the 'True Confessions' album is good too. "Trick of the Night" ("when the wind blows through you'd sell your soul") destroys me, also there's a song about inhaleable solvents called "Hooked on Love"!! (alt title - "Love Theme from 'Pixote'")
