Further proof of the fickle kids...we sold out of 10 copies of Limpbizkit in just a few hours on a school day. I thought they were in the grave...are these just sad curiousity sales, like the monthly visit to Grandpa in the home? Or is something else at work?

I dunno, but when I was at Best Buy earlier I didn't see one mufucka in line that wasn't buying the new Outkast. Black people, white people, old people, young people, boys, girls, midgets, giants, it was ridiculous!

Seriously though, besides Miccio, who the hell buys Limp Bizkit albums?

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 23 September 2003 19:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh wait, I guess this means the new Limp Bizkit came out today too huh? hahahahaha

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 23 September 2003 19:24 (twenty-two years ago)

I demand pictures of giants buying midgets buying Outkast.

SO FRESH AND SO CLEAN CLEAN!

Warwick Davis (nickalicious), Tuesday, 23 September 2003 19:29 (twenty-two years ago)

limp bizkit debuts no higher than third next week, and I'm not sure they'll make that

cinniblount (James Blount), Tuesday, 23 September 2003 20:06 (twenty-two years ago)

A friend at work bought the new Limp Bizkit today. I bought Outkast. Sadly, I think LB is better than The Love Below...holy crap that thing is a fucking self-indulgent mess with the exception of Hey Ya......I think Big Boi's side is good enough to save it from me selling it back, but I'm soo disappointed right now.....

Matt Helgeson (Matt Helgeson), Tuesday, 23 September 2003 21:28 (twenty-two years ago)

_The Love Below_ > _Speakerboxx_

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 23 September 2003 22:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Is Speakerboxx truly that bad? I realise VH1 aren't the music gods per se, but "Hey Ya" seems to be playing at least once an hour....

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Tuesday, 23 September 2003 22:58 (twenty-two years ago)

_Speakerboxx_ is great. I just like _The Love Below_ more.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 23 September 2003 23:00 (twenty-two years ago)

I got Results May Vary on Monday (it pays to know the record store manager, yo!). It's quite disappointing (I'd give the last two albums four stars and this one three) but I'm guessing it will still be pretty popular. The new guitarist is less hooky, but Fred is singing more, which will respectively coddle both genders in the youth market. Plus his voice sounds less whiny, which might appeal to some (though frankly I like my singers SHAMELESS) It's a pretty interesting album, just has less flat-out classics on it than their previous two mega-sellers.

FLAT-OUT CLASSICS on it than their previous two mega-sellers

*Kryptonite taking effect!*

Francis Watlington (Francis Watlington), Wednesday, 24 September 2003 02:56 (twenty-two years ago)

classic Limp Bizkit songs: "Nookie," "Break Stuff," "N2Gether Now," "Re-Arranged," "No Sex," "Rollin'," "My Way," "Livin' It Up," "The One," "Boiler."

"Behind Blue Eyes," their cover of a Who song that I don't like, will be their first wack single (the video evidently involves Fred making out with Halle Berry). They even added some absurd computer voice that states "Discover L-I-M-P" in the middle of the song. Kooky.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Wednesday, 24 September 2003 02:59 (twenty-two years ago)

the video evidently involves Fred making out with Halle Berry

I think Dan finally found the justifiable homicide reason to off Fred.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 24 September 2003 03:03 (twenty-two years ago)

my record store is still fucked from the Isabel so i dont know that we really sold anything at all today, but i did notice that we still have all of our copies of the Television reissues :-(

Aaron Grossman (aajjgg), Wednesday, 24 September 2003 03:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Anthony: You know I totally respect your devotion to the muffin, but the claim sent shivers down *my* spine. (Mind you, "Nookie" is pretty much fuckin' class. :) )

Francis Watlington (Francis Watlington), Wednesday, 24 September 2003 03:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Outkast will be number one although the distributor's having some supply issues that may hold it down, Dave Matthews a close #2, Durst et al #3.

teeny (teeny), Wednesday, 24 September 2003 18:10 (twenty-two years ago)

how did this become a week for such potentially huge releases? I think the 20+ dollar price tag that I've heard about might affect the outkast sales. And never underestimate the power of 'Dave' and his fanbase... or Fred's either, for good measure.

bill stevens (bscrubbins), Wednesday, 24 September 2003 19:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Just came across this rave review!

Sam J. (samjeff), Wednesday, 24 September 2003 19:07 (twenty-two years ago)

I think Dan finally found the justifiable homicide reason to off Fred.

I heard about this earlier this week. My brane is still hurting because although Halle already had Eric Benet cooties (ew), she now has Fred Durst cooties (EW!). However, she is still ridiculously gorgeous and if I was single I'd be trying to stalk her still.

(Goddamn you Fred Durst for the first time I'm actually JEALOUS of you you ugly bastard)

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 24 September 2003 19:13 (twenty-two years ago)

I am more alarmed and outraged by his defiling of Bill Paxton :(((

Adrian (Adrian Langston), Wednesday, 24 September 2003 19:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Fred Durst made out with Bill Paxton. Oh no, I've sprained my incredulity. Ow ow.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 24 September 2003 19:34 (twenty-two years ago)

the outkast record is selling for low prices at many bigger-box outlets ($10.99 at best buy, $11.99 at target).

also it is the #1 record on the itunes music store, with stupid jerkface at #2.

maura (maura), Wednesday, 24 September 2003 21:45 (twenty-two years ago)

it should be remembered that the outkast counts as two units also

cinniblount (James Blount), Wednesday, 24 September 2003 21:50 (twenty-two years ago)

but not on the itunes music store, no?

maura (maura), Wednesday, 24 September 2003 21:52 (twenty-two years ago)

there's a seperate chart for dl/ing (basically itunes and the handful of other riaa approved dl sites) - I don't think it recognizes albums as a format (yay!) and only tallys it up by track (ie. "hey ya" may very well be number one on that).

cinniblount (James Blount), Wednesday, 24 September 2003 22:06 (twenty-two years ago)

wow, that Stephen Thomas Erlewine review almost has NOTHING to do with the album itself. That's pretty rare for AMG (haha, their whole point used to be reviews for fans of the artist - meaning a four-star of Whitney Houston doesn't equal a four-star of Bob Dylan - but I guess that isn't the case now), so I'm guessing Durst just pisses him off bigtime. Though he missed the whut-the-fuck Apple ad that appears in the liner notes.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Wednesday, 24 September 2003 22:13 (twenty-two years ago)

also, nowhere on the album is Britney Spears' name even mentioned, so his complaints about unwarranted aggresion towards her are pretty much conjecture.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Wednesday, 24 September 2003 22:14 (twenty-two years ago)

"Eat You Alive" has really really grown on me, especially the "damn you so HOT" part.

Al (sitcom), Wednesday, 24 September 2003 22:33 (twenty-two years ago)

I just got a promo copy of the CD; it's so funny, it has the cheapest-looking artwork I've ever seen on a "major" release.

Sam J. (samjeff), Thursday, 25 September 2003 19:20 (twenty-two years ago)

limp bizkit debuts no higher than third next week, and I'm not sure they'll make that

And number three it is!

My name is Kenny (My name is Kenny), Wednesday, 1 October 2003 19:09 (twenty-two years ago)

One of the first weeks in a long time when the top ten releases all sold 100,000+ copies. Even Hillary Duff.
