Is there anything recent comparable to the Trinity Sessions? I heard bits of a recent album by Gillian Welch that sounded cool but am looking for suggestions.

hmm good question. there's a copy on Gemm.com and you can get it from the label http://www.bigrigrecords.net/ ... but i know 'em if you have trouble finding one
