Is it me, or is a very orchestrated version of Motorcycle Emptiness on a new phone advert in the Uk? (Can't remember which company)

It defnitely is.
And this after the Oz Tourist Board use of (can you tell what it is yet?) 'Australia'. Shocking. All we want from you is the text you've given us.

T-Mobile are also using a rewritten version of "lily the pink" by the scaffold on their radio ads, surely they are the devil's phone company...

American Eagle Outfitters, an American clothing company, has been running an ad with a bunch of good looking American collegiate types reenacting various Manics press photos from approx '91-'94--WTF? I can't think of one fashion in which this makes sense as an ad, especially in America where even "big star" post-Richie Manics don't warrant even a placing in the "New Releases" bin when they do an album. The music for the ad is not by the Manics either!

Re-enacting *which* photos?

4-Real? Very Benetton.

No, not that one, just random publicity shots (they show the publicity shot before they show the kids posing as it, just in case anyone thinks I'm that pathetically obsessed that I have memorized random publicity shots)
