now if anyone ever needed a songwriting assist, it's these clowns... but i can't imagine this being very good.

though i do salute their bravery, ambition & willingness to piss off garagistes. maybe it will be great.

Yeah, they really needed some ballads about teenagers in love.

or songs, period.

Fritz Wollner (Fritz), Thursday, 25 September 2003 14:40 (twenty-two years ago)

it sure couldn't hurt.

Is this true? That band is surely the Sha Na Na of garage-rock, but I don't know if this makes me want to mock them more or give 'ema break.

chris herrington (chris herrington), Thursday, 25 September 2003 15:43 (twenty-two years ago)

yeah it's true.

God I saw them live and it was the worst.....they ended with an excruciating 10+ minute version of Stranglehold by Ted Nugent. If you're going to do that song, at least have the decency to shoot a stuffed deer with a flaming arrow.

Also, the dork in me hates them because their name is a reference to Can and yet they exhibit no apparent Can influence.

Although, the Matrix is intriguing, maybe it could be a big techno-rock garage record, like Def Leppard's Hysteria was for pop metal, although I doubt they have the time, money, or work ethic to slave over sometime like def lep and mutt.

Matt Helgeson (Matt Helgeson), Thursday, 25 September 2003 16:35 (twenty-two years ago)

slave over something like def lep

Matt Helgeson (Matt Helgeson), Thursday, 25 September 2003 16:36 (twenty-two years ago)

def lep should've done a song called "slave over something"!

Fritz Wollner (Fritz), Thursday, 25 September 2003 16:52 (twenty-two years ago)

let me hit up Joe Elliot on AIM and see what I can do! sounds like a winner to me.
