gabbo giftington (dubplatestyle), Saturday, 27 September 2003 22:45 (twenty-two years ago)

yeah whys everyone so hyped about this? theres about 4 good tracks. 1st one is quite nice, then freak which is the only properly good one, then the one thats a bit like freak, then the last one which is lovely. the rest is total nonsense! everyone just wants to be nice to lfo cos they are the originators! i dont give a shit though, so i say no.

Blown is better than anything on the Plastikman album. It is chock'full of pop ambient goodness.

Mike Taylor (mjt), Sunday, 28 September 2003 00:15 (twenty-two years ago)

i'd kind of been avoiding it. back to the old skool blah blah. i'd better give it a listen.

If current IDM records were all as good as Moistly I would not snicker at people who still buy IDM records.

Mike Taylor (mjt), Sunday, 28 September 2003 01:03 (twenty-two years ago)

vahid (vahid), Sunday, 28 September 2003 03:24 (twenty-two years ago)

two months pass...
The only way too get the full effect would be to here the LFO on a soundsystem. Have yet to get a chance. I get a feeling it was engineered from that stance.
And Mike...Acid has been resurging for two years now. Look closer than Rephlex and Clone and Bunker. Sorry, just citing an October post of yours.

five years pass...

Not new, but just listening to "Advance". I'm kind of speechless, I have a feeling this is going to become one of my favorite albums of all time.

Gonna revisit 'Advance' a lot tonight. I'm old enough to remember the shock of the new of 'LFO' coming out and the kerfuffle it caused but 'Advance' was the one in my twenties I developed the strongest bond with.
