It might be too early to call this youngish and versatile guitar man 'classic' but he certainly ain't no 'dud'
(in my 'pinion, yeh).

So whenever and wherever you may have heard him, live or on records -- with the trio Harriet Tubman or with Cassandra Wilson, w/Henry Threadgill or Archie Shepp, Butch Morris or Leroy Jenkins, Oliver Lake or Abiodun Oyewole or, of all places, on Arrested Development's Unplugged (the list's much longer, but) --
what are your experiences, your impressions and evaluations of the man?

I see:
the Brandon being not from Beverly Hills and the Ross not from Friends, people ain't coming forward in no hurry ;)

I really like his work with Henry Threadgill (and thus your thread grows less lonely).

Ho-ho-ho-hurray! - It's now the longest ever Brandon Ross ILM-day.

Since the start of this thread there's meanwhile appeared Brandon's first solo CD, Costume. On which he also sings. Which sounds also rather fine. Colin have you heard that? (I dare recommend you do! :)
