I like it plenty.

I would say it is about half a really good album. I quite enjoy the spooky "Lincoln's Eyes" track. I just wish it was as different from Deserter's Songs as NME tries to dress it up to be.

I've heard it. Pretty good and way better than Deserter' Songs. Lots of ott solo's and string arangements. But again not a very complete album, there are a couple of semi-duds on it after the first 6 tracks.

First song is unbelievable, have yet to listen to the rest since I bought New Order, Stanton Warriors and Simians album the same day

The problem I have with the new Mercury Rev tracks I have heard so far via the radio - is the annoying high pitched quirky style vocals.

I like it. I didn't expect to after being less than enchanted by Deserter's Songs. I agree with Omar that it is truly fine up to the 7th track, which is silly, but I thought it closed strong with that catchy thing about spiders and then that weird prog/folk(?) number at the end.

Ixnay on the "A Drop In Time"-bashing. Is anybody going to see these fellas in the upcoming months?
