1. This is it! - Danni Minogue

Sarah (starry), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:00 (twenty-two years ago)

2. Falling - Boom!

I remembered because of their exclamation mark. Weren't they meant to be the teenage UK garage hopes that UK garage never had? I bet you don't remember those cold pre-Blazin' Squad days.

Sarah (starry), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I dunno about 'garage', but they got featured in an NME Hot New Bands thing as token pop entry, then dissolved.

however, they did spawn Jonny Shentall, Most Superfluous Band Member Ever. (for his 'involvement' with the 'relaunched' Hear'Say)

William Bloody Swygart (mrswygart), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Did they really make it into the NME? Cor blimey. I bought that single for 10 pence from the Record and Tape Exchange (or the Vinyl Exchange or MVE, or Mr CD, I can't remember).

What was Hear'Say's song after the first one where they all stood about in a fiery hall? I can't remember the first either, I keep thinking it is Never Ever.

3. BELFAST by Boney M.

Sarah (starry), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:04 (twenty-two years ago)

(Can you tell I saw some of 100 Worst Videos on Sunday).

Sarah (starry), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:04 (twenty-two years ago)

i remember that Dannii Minogue one well - absolutely hated it. 'Crazy Love' is another forgotten one by her (features the same string sample as 808 State's 'Lift') and one i prefer.

stevem (blueski), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:05 (twenty-two years ago)

actually i think it was 'Baby Love'

stevem (blueski), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Re: Boom - yeah, they did, they were all cheeky in the interview in the manner to which manufactured pop types are accustomed to being.

Hear'Say's second one was:

4) Show Me The Way To Your Love

Now there's a pub quiz question for you (poss. because I heard it during a pub quiz, or maybe a FAP, I am unsure)

William Bloody Swygart (mrswygart), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Were that her song when she was a goth?

IIRC, her goth song also featured her poncing about a beach, but this time it was in the dark and she was dressed like a poncy elf in a cloak.

Sarah (starry), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:06 (twenty-two years ago)

You are all mental. Dannii's best single is clearly Disrememberance.

5. Peach - On My Own. Never a hit anywhere, as far as I know, I bought it for 50c because I liked the orange cover.

edward o (edwardo), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Swiggit, that rings no bells at all!!

(5) PURE AND SIMPLE, that was it.

Sarah (starry), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Dannii Minogue had a goth phase?

crumbs.

7. Hanging Around by Me Me Me

William Bloody Swygart (mrswygart), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:07 (twenty-two years ago)

8. "Even When Your Eyes are Open" by Levitation. Final single, inexplicably derided, prior to Terry Bickers leaving the band.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:08 (twenty-two years ago)

local record shops i went in always had about 20 copies of that Peach single

Diana King 'Shy Guy'
Ray Parker Jr 'I Don't Think That Man Should Sleep Alone'
3T ft Michael Jackson 'Why'
Brownstone 'If You Love Me'
Peter Andre 'Flava'

stevem (blueski), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:08 (twenty-two years ago)

9. "Street Tuff" by the Rebel MC

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:09 (twenty-two years ago)

15. 'Be Together' - The Original. His follow-up single. Don't think it charted.

William Bloody Swygart (mrswygart), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:10 (twenty-two years ago)

10. "Karma" by Mysterious Art

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:10 (twenty-two years ago)

'Street Tuff' was a minor hit in the States? i always remember it because i like to marvel how he went from that to 'The Wickedest Sound' and Enya-sampling 'Tribal Base'

Gordon Haskell 'How Wonderful You Are'

it was only two years ago

stevem (blueski), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:10 (twenty-two years ago)

It's one of the best singles of the 90s, that Peach one. A real lost classic. As is....

16. Cathy Dennis - Too Many Walls

edward o (edwardo), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Shola Ama 'You Might Need Somebody'

stevem (blueski), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Steve, I think I can remember almost all of your ones, excepting Parker Jr.

20) CJ Lewis - Sweets For My Sweet

William Bloody Swygart (mrswygart), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:12 (twenty-two years ago)

"have mercy mercy mercy" - !!! - Steve you git I will now have to come out tonight in order to harass people to play that song to gerrit out of my head.

I'd forgotten all of those songs apart from FLAVA. Marvellous.

Craig McLachlan - Mona (or Moira, or Maura, or Mary, or Madge, Mungo, Midge ect ect).

Did Men Without Hats have a follow-up to Safety Dance? I would say that but of course everyone remembers it.

Sarah (starry), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:12 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't think "Street Tuff" made even the slightest impact in the States. I only know of it from working with a deejay at the time who brought it into the office. "Tuff" wasn't really the first adjective that sprang to mind when listening to Rebel MC.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:14 (twenty-two years ago)

22) Kula Shaker - Mystical Machine Gun

William Bloody Swygart (mrswygart), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:14 (twenty-two years ago)

18. Blur - Ernold Same

Total twaddle. Terrible name that gave more than a passing nod to Pink Floyd's "Arnold Layne".

dog latin (dog latin), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Did Men Without Hats have a follow-up to Safety Dance? I would say that but of course everyone remembers it.

"Pop Goes the World"

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Who remembers Duran Duran's cover of 911 IS A JOKE??

I certainly don't but I've heard of it and people assure me it's not a lie...

Sarah (starry), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:19 (twenty-two years ago)

I do. And I know someone else here on ILM certainly does.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Wills to be fair, i don't expect a single song to be mentioned that SOMEONE doesn't remember. hence...

The Supernaturals 'I Wasn't Built To Get Up At This Time'

stevem (blueski), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:20 (twenty-two years ago)

"Where Was?" by Guthrie Handley & Wayne Hussey. Justifiably forgotten, actually.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Ned doesn't count.

Win - Freaky Trigger!!!! (I think Tico Tico played it to me once but I HAVE FORGOTTEN IT or was that the name of the album?)

Sarah (starry), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:21 (twenty-two years ago)

however, they did spawn Jonny Shentall, Most Superfluous Band Member Ever. (for his 'involvement' with the 'relaunched' Hear'Say)

Jonny Shentall snuggles up to Groop Dogdrill and Lesley Garrett as Doncaster's prime contribution to all of pophistory ever. Rah!

5. Peach - On My Own. Never a hit anywhere, as far as I know, I bought it for 50c because I liked the orange cover.

fucking BRILLIANT, Ed triumphs again. Peach-boffins did some things of on Fever by Kylie but I forget exactly which.

27(?). Sinitta - Right Back Where We Started From

Alex in Doncaster (Alex in Doncaster), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:21 (twenty-two years ago)

I had forgotten about Shayne Carter until now - DUNEDIN TO THREAD!

Sarah (starry), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:22 (twenty-two years ago)

any song suggested should have been a top 40 hit or equivalent

Boyzone 'A Different Beat'
Bad Boys Inc. 'Don't Talk About Love', 'Take Me Away'
Deuce 'Call It Love'
Kim Appleby 'G.L.A.D'
Worlds 'inexplicably big in France' Apart 'Everlasting Love'

stevem (blueski), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Steve - true. And I don't really remember how the 3T one went, anyhow...

37. Northern Uproar - Anyway You Look

Northern Uproar in 'tune' shocker. Sort of.

William Bloody Swygart (mrswygart), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:23 (twenty-two years ago)

"Talk to Me" by I am Siam

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:23 (twenty-two years ago)

i'm trying to remember if Soho had a follow up single to 'Hippy Chick' = i'm sure they did but can't quite remember how it went, or if i even heard it.

The Word is great for forgotten songs so think back to what you saw on that - If?! The Aloof! The Millionaire Hippies!

stevem (blueski), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Steven "Monkey Chops" Gateley's solo song after his coming out as a gayist. Needlessly to say I have forgotten the title, but thought that setting his video in a London park was throwing away his only hope of playing on his Oirish Heritage. Which was his only hope. He should have done a Riverdance.

Did it even Top Ten?

I love the way Smash Hits stopped calling him "Monkey Chops" after he came out as An Gay.

Sarah (starry), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:25 (twenty-two years ago)

are St Etienne the only band who can do this without always sounding trite?

stevem (blueski), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:26 (twenty-two years ago)

sorry, wrong thread

stevem (blueski), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:26 (twenty-two years ago)

It was called New Beginning. About him having a New Beginning. Did not feature any men in the video, if I remember rightly (though I might not).

And it was about #5 or 6, I think.

On that topic -

41 - Mikey Graham - You're My Angel

(think that was his name - he was the least memorable member of Boyzone, anyway)

William Bloody Swygart (mrswygart), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Ian Brown 'My Star'

crashed into the top 5, then buggered off again double sharpish - don't recall it getting much airplay or mention in the weeks after

stevem (blueski), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:28 (twenty-two years ago)

i think Soho followed up "Hippy Chick" with the non-top-75-chartin SMASH that was "Love Revolution"

Lena Fiagbe - "Gotta Get It Right"

Alex in Doncaster (Alex in Doncaster), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Sarah - "Freaky trigger" was the second album by Win, the title being a line from the second song on it, "Taboo". As always, I'll make my plea if anyone has got the first Win LP on CD - could I have a CD-R please? I had it once, lent it to someone 12 years ago and never got it back. And I miss it.

Rob M (Rob M), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Keith & Shane - Gurl U Kno It's Troo.

Sarah (starry), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Lena Fiagbe - "Gotta Get It Right"

good choice! also, Efua's 'Somewhere'

stevem (blueski), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:31 (twenty-two years ago)

47. Prodigy - One Man Army

Or whatever the song they had to play on the Top 40 instead of Smack My Bitch Up was called. Think it was something like that though.

William Bloody Swygart (mrswygart), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Michelle Gayle - "Looking Up"

Alex in Doncaster (Alex in Doncaster), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Top novelty song DOOP by god knows who. "It's the Charleston with a Twist!".

I know A GOFF who goes by the screen name of "doop". I still can't think of it without laughing. I don't think he even knows. ARRRRRHAHAHAHAHAHHA.

Sarah (starry), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Hahahah, I make a point of listening to DOOP at least once per week. Rednex?

Alex in Doncaster (Alex in Doncaster), Monday, 8 December 2003 16:32 (twenty-two years ago)

That would maybe be "No More No More (I Can't Stand It)". and then "You Can Get It".

This HAS been done before, agreed. It's grrrrreat

Alex in Doncaster (Alex in Doncaster), Monday, 8 December 2003 18:08 (twenty-two years ago)

jordan knight - give it to you
(I loved that song. I will never hear it again. I cry now.)

cis (cis), Monday, 8 December 2003 18:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Les Rythmes Digitalies - Sometimes (ah, my favourite video ever!)
Shampoo - Viva La Megababes

Just noticed the mighty SHIVAREE made #63 with Goodnight Moon. How cruel - it should have been massive.

edward o (edwardo), Monday, 8 December 2003 18:12 (twenty-two years ago)

...Is the video to 'Sometimes' the one with the teddybear?

cis (cis), Monday, 8 December 2003 18:14 (twenty-two years ago)

yeh, and indeed, aww

stevem (blueski), Monday, 8 December 2003 18:15 (twenty-two years ago)

good call on Jordan Knight too - better than owt by Timberchops, except 'Cry Me A River' maybe but that doesn't sound so good now compared to most of the stuff on this thread

stevem (blueski), Monday, 8 December 2003 18:16 (twenty-two years ago)

pushing it a bit but...

E-Motion 'Naughty North Sexy South' (the TOTP performance featured the demonstration of north/south divide via pretty girls in appropriately denominated football kits)

and the follow up

'I Stand Alone'

stevem (blueski), Monday, 8 December 2003 18:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Chicane 'No Ordinary Morning'

i think i (not so) secretly like this - sounds a bit like BOC but with slushy female vocals

stevem (blueski), Monday, 8 December 2003 18:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Tatjana - Santa Maria

edward o (edwardo), Monday, 8 December 2003 18:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Off-Shore - I Can't Take This Power
Moist - Push
Oui 3 - Break From The Old Routine
Galliano - Prince Of Peace
S*M*A*S*H - (I Want To) Kill Somebody
Ten Sharp - You
Zig & Zag - Them Girls Them Girls

YES I am clutching at straws now

Alex in Doncaster (Alex in Doncaster), Monday, 8 December 2003 18:23 (twenty-two years ago)

I'd tried to erase NNSS from my memory, damn you.

does Baby D's "I need your lovin' (everybody's gotta learn sometime)" count? Cuz I'd sure forgotten it.

2 unlimited - let the beat control your body!

cis (cis), Monday, 8 December 2003 18:24 (twenty-two years ago)

I've never heard of any of that last lot of Alex's. Good thing?

edward o (edwardo), Monday, 8 December 2003 18:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Unquestionably. Though the S*M*A*S*H single seemed very righteous at the time.

Alex in Doncaster (Alex in Doncaster), Monday, 8 December 2003 18:27 (twenty-two years ago)

K7 - come baby come
perfecto allstars - reach up

(yeah, I do have a collection of early/mid 90's NOW! compilations, why d'you ask?)

cis (cis), Monday, 8 December 2003 18:29 (twenty-two years ago)

"Wichita Lineman" by These Animal Men

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 8 December 2003 18:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Wow, Come Baby Come! I loved that when I was about 8.

Stakka Bo - Here We Go

Chris Jones (Crackity Jones), Monday, 8 December 2003 20:41 (twenty-two years ago)

"Your Baby Never Looked Good In Blue," Expose

John Fredland (jfredland), Monday, 8 December 2003 21:41 (twenty-two years ago)

2 Cowboys - "Everybody Gonfi Gon"
Apache Indian - "Arranged Marriage"

Ben Dot (1977), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 01:15 (twenty-two years ago)

i own a disgusting amount of these records.

i nominate anything by Cud, esp "Prawn in whitby" and "Oh no won't do"

also Shakespear's Sister "you're history", their best song by a screaming mile

the surface noise (electricsound), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 04:22 (twenty-two years ago)

My Love Is the SHHH! by Somethin' for the People

reo, Tuesday, 9 December 2003 04:31 (twenty-two years ago)

I nominate the Thunderbugs. One of them was a physicist you know!!!

Sarah (starry), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 10:48 (twenty-two years ago)

"Nover Comes" by the Hollow Men
"Psych Out" by the Seers
"Death Defying" by the Hoodoo Gurus

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 21:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Some great 80s songs that used to be hits, but are sadly not heard a lot these days

Kid Creole & The Coconuts: Annie I'm Not Your Daddy
Split Enz: I Got You
Men At Work: It's a Mistake
Robin Gibb: Juliet
Limahl: Too Much Trouble
Galaxy: Dancing Tight
Mick Karn & Midge Ure: After a Fashion
Ian Hunter: All Of The Good Ones Are Taken
David Sylvian & Ryuchy Sakamoto: Forbidden Colours
Visage: Damned Don't Cry
Bad Manners: Walking In The Sunshine
Dollar: Give Me Back My Heart
Yazoo: The Other Side Of Love

Geir Hongro (GeirHong), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 23:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Split Enz: I Got You
Men At Work: It's a Mistake

I wouldn't say either of these are particularly forgotten, being that they were both b-grade hits for both bands and regularly appear on 80's compilations and are in constant rotation on VH1 Classic.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 23:26 (twenty-two years ago)

i own quite a lot of these songs on cassingles (including the legendary jordan knight song, peter andre, CJ lewis, bitty mclean, 3T, tony rich)

my own nominations for best semi-forgotten songs from the 90s: 74 75- Connells, how bizarre- OMC, closer than close- rosie gaines, nanny in manhattan- lilys.

lid, Wednesday, 10 December 2003 23:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Official 'Popular' Forgotten UK No.1s Of The 1990s (i.e. ones that made me double-take and go 'what the fuck was that?' when I did my download binge)

Wet Wet Wet - Goodnight Girl
G Michael / Queen / Lisa Stansfield - Five Live EP
Tony Di Bart - Real Thing (mentioned on EVERY thread like this yet still I had forgotten him!)
Peter Andre - I Feel You
Boyzone - A Different Beat
LL Cool J - Ain't Nobody (more that it got to #1 than its very existence)
Gary Barlow - Love Won't Wait (this is surely the most forgettable, GB's second No.1 - who knew???)
Another Level - Freak Me (I vaguely remember this because of a funny Tanya entry though)
911 - Little Bit More (how does it go? I don't know, neither do you, neither does anyone who bought it I would guess, oh well, it's probably OK but amazingly nobody on Soulseek is sharing it)

Special mentions to Westlife whose ever-presence I remember all too well but whose songs escape me, and to Geri Halliwell all of whose songs I remember because I was a big enough fool to buy the album.

Tico Tico (Tico Tico), Thursday, 11 December 2003 00:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Was that the 911 single which rather unfortunately coincided with tremendous C4 boyband satire Boyz Unlimited? It was really great because the hilarious!ly bad fictional cover they featured in the programme was (by accident or design) the same track as 911 had just covered and released and the two records were identical. And I think it was maybe this one. NUMBER ONE though, christ.

Alex in Doncaster (Alex in Doncaster), Thursday, 11 December 2003 03:40 (twenty-two years ago)

'Little Bit More' is a cover but i can't remember who did it first - it goes "and when your body's had all it can take blah blah floor, i'm gonna love you a little bit more" Boyz Unlimited was a good programme.

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 11 December 2003 11:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Salt n' pepa 'Do You Want Me'

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 11 December 2003 11:44 (twenty-two years ago)

OMD 'Walking On The Milky Way' (terrible, except that it's SO close to 'All The Young Dudes') and 'Pandora's Box' which in hated at the time but is one of their more PSB-esque numbers and maybe due a re-assessment

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 11 December 2003 11:51 (twenty-two years ago)

R Kelly 'Your Body's Callin', 'Bump n' Grind', 'Summer Bunnies'
Changing Faces 'Stroke You Up'
Smooth 'Mindblowin'

and did someone say N-TYCE and CLEOPATRA?

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 11 December 2003 11:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Swygart earns kudos for recalling EYC - they had at least one other 'hit' in 'The Way You Work It'

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 11 December 2003 11:54 (twenty-two years ago)

I remember OMD "Sailing on the seven seas" (Is milky way a different song?)

Mainly cause i once wrote a song that had "I'm so in love with you that I dont know what i do" as a strap line.

But instead of "and I'm sailing on the seven seas so blue" I had "I walk head first into a tree yeah"

mark grout (mark grout), Thursday, 11 December 2003 11:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Christ Stevem, all this time and I never twigged the "Walking on the milky way" / "All the young dudes" connection.

Did "The rock" by Delakota get anywhere near the charts?

Rob M (Rob M), Thursday, 11 December 2003 11:55 (twenty-two years ago)

All-4-One: "I Swear"

This song was virtually everywhere for a few months in 1994, but then... nothing. According to AMG, All-4-One have released 5 LP's, but has anyone ever heard any of them?

Tuomas (Tuomas), Thursday, 11 December 2003 11:59 (twenty-two years ago)

possibly but i have real trouble remembering ANY Delakota song and indeed may never have even heard one (i'm pretty sure i have tho as ex was a big fan of them)

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 11 December 2003 12:00 (twenty-two years ago)

New Atlantic 'I Know'

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 11 December 2003 12:00 (twenty-two years ago)

There is no swearing in "I Swear" by All-4-One

Tico Tico (Tico Tico), Thursday, 11 December 2003 12:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Boyz II Men 'Water Runs Dry'

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 11 December 2003 12:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Bally Sagoo 'Tum Bin Jiy A'

(shame as it has a TEARING Grooverider mix)

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 11 December 2003 12:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Um' I've forgotten.

Skinny, Thursday, 11 December 2003 12:58 (twenty-two years ago)

what about that terrible 'Madness Thing' song by whoever it was?

also, Lolly

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 11 December 2003 13:06 (twenty-two years ago)

haha the 11th & 24th greatest NZ songs of all time have been nominated on this thread!

etc, Thursday, 11 December 2003 13:19 (twenty-two years ago)

i forgot about The COurse (Ibeefery covers of Fugees 'Ready Or Not' and also 'Ain't Nobody')

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 11 December 2003 13:53 (twenty-two years ago)

3T! nephews of jacko! Did they do 'Anything', or was that someone else? Easily confused with All-4-One, 'I Swear' holds record for most-consecutive-weeks-at-number-2-in-UK-charts-without-getting-to-number-one, 7 weeks during the long drownsy summer of 'Love Is All Around'.

Alex in Doncaster (Alex in Doncaster), Thursday, 11 December 2003 15:19 (twenty-two years ago)

i think the track 3T did with Jacko was approaching decency but all else was cack

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 11 December 2003 15:24 (twenty-two years ago)

this thread has so happened before - and i am just repeating myself myself

Quite right (forgotten/understated 'classic' pop songs of the 80s and 90s I can't post links I can't post links). Let's make an annual event of it

Alex in Doncaster (Alex in Doncaster), Thursday, 11 December 2003 18:01 (twenty-two years ago)

ha ha, and started by me as well - featuring all the same songs....sigh...

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 11 December 2003 18:03 (twenty-two years ago)

three years pass...
Stereo MCs - Connected

musically, Sunday, 29 April 2007 06:27 (nineteen years ago)

thirteen years pass...

Just heard "Oh How Happy" in a documentary--had totally forgotten it. Written by Edwin Starr, also recorded by him, on his own and with Blinky.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=WF5m59gy1P8
www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4FD1oUlWZI
www.youtube.com/watch?v=qt3toviVsg8

The film used the first, which I think was the hit.
