Did anyone else watch the Primetime Live feature on the Bjork stalker tonight?

I did, and found it very enlightening and frightening. I remember stories about the guy killing himself on camera, but nothing about him attempting to mail her a bomb loaded with sulfuric acid to disfigure her. He came pretty close to succeeding at his goal, too.

They showed parts of his final moments on tape, rocking back and forth with the gun cocked, and then they (mercifully) stopped before he put the gun to his mouth. A small part of me wants to know if this tape has ever leaked out to the public a la the R. Budd Dwyer suicide?

I don't know, but I'm looking for it on Kazaa right now.

Three years ago I saw The Video Diary of Ricardo Lopez at the Amsterdam Documentary Film Festival. The footage wasn't leaked, it had become public after it was admitted as evidence.

Yeah, I watched that last night as well...very creepy indeed. My wife and I saw a similar Primetimeish show on this guy a year or so ago and they took the suicide part almost all the way. Intense and disturbing footage to say the least.

This was compulsively watchable in the car-wreck variety, utterly frightening, esp. how at times he was very self-aware of how disturbed he was and then later so completely in the grips of his problem. Watching him prepare to actually kill himself was scary as hell, how ritualized he'd made it with the rocking back and forth.

I saw it. What a wanker.

Exactly, what a wanker. Or maybe he should have been more of one. I've gone through some seriously insecure dry spells but they were nothing Captain Wrist and good porn/tunes couldn't handle. Why does the U.S.A. seem to spawn the highest rate of mopey fucks that handle their emotional bidness by attempting to kidnap/kill/rape/mutilate an arbitrarily selected female subject? Take up smoking, why don't you!

But doesn't Japan have its fair share of stalkers? E.g. the guy who was stalking Britney recently.
