Any album that carries off more than 5 great songs is amazing in these times.

turning the stereo to full blast for Blizzard and Blonde on Blonde is like a religious experience.

"hi speed soul" is great too, as is "fruit fly". it's a very strong record.

has anyone heard the promo version of this record? it's mucho better. there are different edits on the songs, the european tracklisting, and i *think* it's mixed with more upper end clarity than the final version, which sounds bassier to me.

The only song that really catches my ear is "Blonde on Blonde."

it's ok, but they were really sorta lame in person. Dave Pirner-looking bassist has a rockstar complex, looks very very silly on stage, visually compromises the admittedly hook-heavy pop the band excels at.

They've never impressed me, and Let Go didn't do a thing to change my mind. Kudos to those guys for trying to pretend "Popular" never existed, though.

eleven months pass...
I haven't gotten tired of it.
