No-one is betting on it

the shops are selling the darkness in droves

Well, I like the Darkness single so thumbs up to them.

If they rush-release a version of the Pop Idol tune sampling General Whatsisname saying "We Got 'Im!" they might yet salvage the situation.

the problem with the Pop Idol record is that it's performed by a bunch of losers, and one winner. maybe that is also true of The Darkness though.

To quote my infinitely wiser mate Thomas: "Gary Jules looks like a shoeshine from a James Cagney film".

You're better off checking betfair for better prediction results. I can't because there's a no gambling site filter in this bloody library.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Tuesday, 16 December 2003 16:08 (twenty-two years ago)

thank baby jesus this is a triumph for real music over manufactured pap (don't you just love war years?)

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 16 December 2003 16:35 (twenty-two years ago)

The Darkness have released their single on three different CD formats in the race, one of which costs just £1.99, which is thought to be helping their chart chances.

That's so REAL! That's so STREET!

Lynskey (Lynskey), Tuesday, 16 December 2003 16:48 (twenty-two years ago)

2 track inexpensive format? You bet it's street!

mark grout (mark grout), Tuesday, 16 December 2003 16:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Sorry, but multi-formating hacks me off, Xmas or no Xmas.

Lynskey (Lynskey), Tuesday, 16 December 2003 16:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Fair enough, but the two tracker is the one that's going to take over...

Not just meaning the Darkness single

mark grout (mark grout), Tuesday, 16 December 2003 16:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Apparently, the Pop Idols single is being outsold, even, by Avid Merrion...

mark grout (mark grout), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 09:51 (twenty-two years ago)

And apparently Travis won't even go top 40..
