Lyrics that must make R&B/hiphop hook singers feel silly

Okay, for some reason I'm listening to the horrid rip off that is The Trials and Tribulations of Russel Jones by Ol' Dirty Bastard.

The hook on one of the quasi-new songs (Dirty and Stinkin' feat. ICP) goes...."I wanna get dirty/ and I/ wanna get stinky/ And I/ ain't goin' nowhere till I/ get dirty and stinkin'"

I imagine this talent young aspiring R&B lass having sort of a moment of clarity type moment where she's looking at these lyrics and wondering, "What the hell am I doing here singing this retarded crap?"

Any other wildly ridiculous sung rap or R&B you can think of?

no actually i think about this too.... especially when it's obvious that the producer didn't have a particular melody in mind and just asked the singers to warble something. or when the melody is really indifferent.

i wonder whether these backup singers are like some girls from the hood who'd be hanging out with ODB anyhow or if they are like cissy houston or something waiting for a crack and the sondheim songbook.

crack AT the sondheim songbook

not that girls from the hood can't be wishing for same

i guess i meant whether they had big crossover/broadway type ambitions or whatever and were stuck singing lascivious come-ons on lil' jon records

The last time I thought this was one of the tunes on RZA's new album (maybe We Pop or Fast Cars?), because you've got him and the boys singing the hook all out-of-tune, and the woman comes in with the rhythmically and pitch-precise version, like she's cleaning up after them.

Do you know the way to crunk the night away?
I've been away so long
I may go wrong and lose my way

This has often struck me when listening to pop-soul bands like the Style Council.
