Help me, Scott Walker fans...you're my only hope...

So I live in the ol' USA, and after buying the Scott Walker box set, I've found that disc three plays only out of one channel. Someone put up a UK phone number to call for a replacement, but I have had no luck connecting. Does anyone have more info (email address, mailing address, etc.) they might be able to offer me? Please?

I was researching the box on Amazon tonight and the customer reviews are all saying disc three is one channel. Sounds like a bad pressing run...good luck, I'd just return it to the p.o.p.

Polydor/Universal UK is supposedly repressing the whole lot and will supply distributors with replacements. they in turn will pass these on to retailers who can swap 'em for customer returns. no word yet on timeframe, or logistics of customer notification and trade/return.

I bet no one will want to part with their one-fifth defective copy until they can actually put their hands on the fixed version at that same instant...

great box by the way, even for those who already own most of it: somehow helps you hear familiar tunes in a new way. the defective disc is one of the less exciting ones.

The wire review mentions that volume 3 is only mastered in one channel - i think i'm going to give it a miss, i've got the vast majority, what i don't have i i think i can live without.
