R U counting East Bay? B-Town representing.

Anyone interested in an SF meet-up involving beverages or noise or records, it looks like we'll be doing something in the early New year.

See here:

Watch this space, I guess.

BurmaKitty (BurmaKitty), Monday, 22 December 2003 02:36 (twenty-two years ago)

I initially read this as 'science fiction people.'

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 22 December 2003 02:38 (twenty-two years ago)

does this mean you will be over for New Year's Eve?

Or did you think it read:

New York Eggplants

BurmaKitty (BurmaKitty), Monday, 22 December 2003 02:48 (twenty-two years ago)

What is going on over New Year's Eve? I don't know whether to come into the city or to drive as far away from it as possible.

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Monday, 22 December 2003 03:10 (twenty-two years ago)

TenderNob !!

Sean (Sean), Monday, 22 December 2003 03:16 (twenty-two years ago)

*tut tut*

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Monday, 22 December 2003 03:17 (twenty-two years ago)

(this is burmakitty...too lazy to log in...)

I'm not sure what's going on other than for some weird reason, I have NYE off. My building association has complained of people vandalizing the vacant storefront we have. Each time there is an event, holiday, parade, protest, etc. down valencia, the kids mess up the front of the building. I volunteered to shoo would be vandals away from about 11pm to 1230 am. Anyone from ILX can come by for a drink on their way to actual New Years events if they like. Either I'll have drinks in the hallway or AsiaKitty will show you where the alcohol is upstairs.

I will probably stay indoors during the gunfire. Usually people can't afford too much ammo, so it should be over by 1220 or so.

You are welcome to come by and say hello anytime after 9pm. I'll shut down at 1230.

We are in the building directly across from Valencia Gardens Projects btwn 14th and 15th. There are no names on the front of the building. Email asiakitty or me if you need an actual address or phone number from us.

Aja (aja), Monday, 22 December 2003 03:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Sean (Sean), Monday, 22 December 2003 03:21 (twenty-two years ago)

I walked by your house today, Burma Kity!

Sean (Sean), Monday, 22 December 2003 03:22 (twenty-two years ago)

So ...your daughter has the keys to the liquor cabinet?

tut tut

You mean that wasn't an amusing pun?

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Monday, 22 December 2003 03:23 (twenty-two years ago)

It's not a great name, but Lower Nob Hill/Tenderloin area where I live is sometimes called the TenderNob.

Sean (Sean), Monday, 22 December 2003 03:25 (twenty-two years ago)

She assures you there is no cabinet.

It's just kind of spread out throughout the apartment.

BurmaKitty (BurmaKitty), Monday, 22 December 2003 03:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Hoping to move back to SF in the fall (just working there now). I'm currently living in the north bay. Too bad (for me) I'll be in Fresno for New Years.

metfigga (metfigga), Monday, 22 December 2003 22:50 (twenty-two years ago)

I've lived in the Mission in Sf for the last 8 years.

Shakey Mo Collier, Monday, 22 December 2003 22:51 (twenty-two years ago)

I live in berkeley. I fucking hate new year's. Tell me something to do that doesn't involve my friends and excessive drug gobbling.

anthony kyle monday (akmonday), Monday, 22 December 2003 23:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Tell me something to do that doesn't involve my friends and excessive drug gobbling

ahhh, i miss the good ol' days. (see ile's thread on puking)

JaXoN (JasonD), Monday, 22 December 2003 23:23 (twenty-two years ago)

No one I know seems to have even a remotely entertaining plan for NYE, so I may have to go with my default option of seeing Persephone's Bees at Du Nord.

Shakey Mo Collier, Monday, 22 December 2003 23:24 (twenty-two years ago)

on the other hand Tom never answered my e-mails, so fuck them!

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 23 December 2003 00:15 (twenty-two years ago)

We need to do some for-real FAP planning.

Which day between 2-8 works best for people? Saturday the third sounds like a good default option.

Which location? Who's in, etc.?

Sterling Clover (s_clover), Tuesday, 23 December 2003 04:17 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm in. I'll start a thread soon, Sterling (prob here on ILM). I think JaXoN said he would be interested if we do it after the 4th, so between 5-8th might be better. If not, Saturday the third sounds good.

As a relative newcomer, I am probably the worst person to pick a location, but maybe some of the more seasoned SF residents may have an idea?

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 23 December 2003 05:01 (twenty-two years ago)

yeah i only know the berkeley/oaktown side and even then probably not exactly the best/nicest spots. i mean i loved to go hang out at the nations over at 14th street in oaktown at all late hours, but that's not exactly classy, y'know?

most of the time i was in the bay area i was under 21 so i rilly don't go out to bars much.

Sterling Clover (s_clover), Tuesday, 23 December 2003 05:04 (twenty-two years ago)

yeah i only know the berkeley/oaktown side

Heh! That's where I am, actually. But you'd have some luck getting any of these SF dudes to cross that bridge...

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 23 December 2003 05:09 (twenty-two years ago)

San Francisco ILM/ILE January meet-up? (plus Sterling Clover!!)
