Has anyone taken a look at Wippit (http://www.wippit.com/)? In its own words:
"Wippit is the world's first legitimate P2P music subscription service with a wide range of recordings for you to download to your PC or MediaterminalTM and play at your leisure. We've got everything from Rock to Rap to Classical to Audio Books. Even Wippit Ringtones! And currently, Wippit is the only service that allows you to download files in MP3 format to move to your MP3 player, burn to CD, and keep."
From its home page it seems like just another subscription service, but what caught my attention was this line in the Twisted Nerve newsletter:
"Early next year Twisted Nerve will become another one of the many quality indie labels to have signed up with http://www.wippit.com to distribute our MP3s."
I suppose "quality indie labels" is a bit subjective (also, no discussions about the word "indie"), but I like TN, and would trust their opinion over, say, Wippit's ad-men.
Also, the price for the service seems very reasonable (again from TN's newsletter): "6.50 dollars / 3.40 pounds a month" for as much as you want to download.
Any thoughts?
