Country singer Dave Dudley has died. He was 75. "Six Days On the Road" was his classic hit, and one of the all-time greatest truckin'/road-trip songs.

I was talking with a friend today, and we remarked that at this rate there may not be a single great old country singer left....Waylon, Johnny, Paycheck, June Carter, Gary Stewart...it's been rough lately.

Thankfully, Willie will probably live to 120, still smokin' them funny cigarrettes.

Merle Haggard lives on, but his numbers are few. George Jones is still kicking.

I have a Dave Dudley album somewhere, "The Card Shark." Maybe I'll bust it out tonite. Shit, I thought he died years ago.
