so mccarthy and her FF partner dude are touring and playing here for $10
i actually don't know much FF stuff, mostly know her from will oldham duets. which i like a lot. she has a pretty voice. also a video of the two of them performing while she holds her sleeping baby that is awesome.
here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HRFSHnltDy0
anyway what can i expect to hear and should i go?

yeah
the everly thing is great, didn't hurt that it arrived about a year and a half into my all-everly-brothers-all-the-time phase.

Chat Pile recommended Family Album on What's In My Bag and it's wonderful

New album Counterclockwise came out at the end of May!
Probably happens to most of us eventually but I'm really weirded out that Family Album came out in 2004, I remember that time very well, it doesn't feel like 21 years ago, I seen the name of the band often, probably could have got their albums and seen them live but still completely missed me and there's piles of bands like that so I'll be distressed by the speed of time plenty more.
It's quite a bit more dynamic and energetic than most of the Freak Folk that I did encounter at the time. I particularly like "Fear March" and Still Here".
