i dont really agree with half the choices there (im going out isnt anywhere near as good as rolex) but good piece, still.

A lot of great artists express their greatness prolifically, but few in the history of popular music have been so consistently brilliant for so long.

Good track selection though, although I'd be tempted to include both Rolex and ...Going Out. Maybe one Roll Deep-related track as well for the sake of completeness.

rolex is one of the best things hes ever done, fuck the haters.

not actually his production tho - i don't hate it, just prefer a whole load of other stuff under his name

'rolex' is amazing obv and 'i'm going out' is even better and would've been such a great follow-up

Rolex is too repetetive for my liking, Going Out has a bit more "story" (tho having a female on there giving a response could've made it better) and variation due to the guest MCs, plus I find the loop much more satisfying

mildly irritating to see both dizz and wiley suddenly jump back on to the REAL GRIME bandwagon now that they see "german whip" and "that's not me" chart when it was sort of what they should've been doing all along but this is really good so w/v (and i guess wiley's always vacillated between grime and chartbait anyway)

its irritating but still good to hear dizzee going full throttle again, though id like to hear him over a track like thats not me rather than the trappier stuff

yeah, I've never been mad at Wiley doing a bunch of crossover shit cause unlike Dizzee he's always made sure to attend to his core fanbase at the same time

after finally hearing on a level, its not bad, but he did better 'real grime' on those step freestyles a while back. if he wants to make a single like german whip or thats not me (and actually i dont think he does, hes made a million songs just like this over the years, this is just 'another album' for wiley), he should get someone like skepta or jme to help him write choruses.
