Chaka Demus and Pliers "Tease Me" - What Riddim is this?

I've always loved the rhythm section of this song, and I'm just wondering what Riddim was used for this - I hardly know anything about dancehall so am unsure if it is based off a Riddim or even if Riddims were around then.
