You wrote: Selected Ambient Works 85-92, after writing "they all have to be from Sheffield's finest home of weirdy electronic wonder". This is on R&S.

No real order:

Aphex Twin ...I Care Because You Do

Squarepusher Music Is Rotted One Note

Plaid Trainer

Autechre EP7

Seefeel Succour

V/A 10+1 Influences

V/A 10+3 Remixes

Squarepusher Budakhan Mindphone

Aphex Twin Come to Daddy

Nightmares on Wax The Sound of N.O.W. (although I'm pretty sure this was only released on Matador)

Vic Funk, Monday, 19 January 2004 15:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Shit! Good point, Vic. Hmmm... I guess I'll have to sub it for Selected Ambient Works V2.

Influences comp
Classics comp
Broadcast - work and non-work

Seefeel - cant remember the name, but a lost classic i reckon
Sabres of paradise - first elpee
Morven Caller soundtrack
Chris Morris - blue jam
Boards of Canada - music has right to children
Nithmares on wax - first elpee

i'm sure i'd also like the first LFO and polygon window but i haven't heard those

bubbling under: second BoC, second and third aphex, sabres haunted dancehall, new LFO, nightmares on wax - 70s/80s (i bet i'm the only person who likes this... and i LOVE, esp the roots manuva mix

warp recpord that i have but haven't listened to for ages: autechre = tri repte

warp record that i sold coz it was boring - autechre one with the sand mountains on the front

funny how warp is really two labels - the early bleep and bass and then everything after

Succour is the seefeel one, which i've just noticed by reading up the list. This is prob my fave actually, so beautiful

Barry Bruner (Barry Bruner), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 00:10 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm not going to pick ten because a) I hate ranked lists of albums, and b) my choices would be fairly obvious and have mostly already been mentioned. Apart from Richard Kirk's Virtual State which I think is one of the best albums Warp has ever released.

Andrew Norman, Tuesday, 20 January 2004 16:21 (twenty-two years ago)

why has no one mentioned Speedy J's Ginger here?
