Kanye pulls a switcheroo!

I'm not much of a downloader, so I don't know if these changes bode well or ill....those of you who have heard the proposed tracklisting are encouraged to enlighten me with your comments.

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Wednesday, 21 January 2004 21:29 (twenty-two years ago)

This is just getting silly now.

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Wednesday, 21 January 2004 21:30 (twenty-two years ago)

jiggaman (Matt Helgeson), Wednesday, 21 January 2004 22:11 (twenty-two years ago)

i can't believe he cut keep the receipt!

i could never find the 12" anywhere :(

Mil, Thursday, 22 January 2004 01:02 (twenty-two years ago)

can't believe "home" was cut!!!!!

brains (cerybut), Thursday, 22 January 2004 01:25 (twenty-two years ago)

when you guys find out that he replaced "keep the receipt" and "home" with superchunk-style indie rock rave-ups y'all are gonna be straight pissed off

J0hn Darn1elle (J0hn Darn1elle), Thursday, 22 January 2004 01:32 (twenty-two years ago)

yeah, all 4 of the songs cut are among my favorites, especially "The Good, The Bad, The Ugly" f/ Consequence. hopefully the new tracks and changes will be good, though, it'll at least give me more motivation to actually buy the real thing. shame on Lauryn for not approving the sample, though.

does this mean "Slow Jamz" is still on it?

Al (sitcom), Thursday, 22 January 2004 02:30 (twenty-two years ago)

did anyone see them on trl tonight? kanye was kinda lame (great jacket though), but twista was the hotness. he's got such a kindly face!

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Thursday, 22 January 2004 03:23 (twenty-two years ago)

More "kindly" rappers please!

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Thursday, 22 January 2004 03:32 (twenty-two years ago)

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Thursday, 22 January 2004 03:32 (twenty-two years ago)

all this gives me more reason to buy it. i don't wanna buy something i've already heard more than half of

JaXoN (JasonD), Thursday, 22 January 2004 03:56 (twenty-two years ago)

"Slow Jamz" is so definitively Twista's now (#5 this week?) that it can go without saying. I don't think anyone who put any actual thought to the question every believed that Lauryn "$75 poem" Hill was going to let her voice make yet another man's career--for any amount of money.

andrew s, Thursday, 22 January 2004 19:20 (twenty-two years ago)

yes it is on twista's just-come-out lp

prima fassy (bob), Friday, 23 January 2004 21:13 (twenty-two years ago)

mtv has been playing it with twista front-billed for over a month now, too.

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Friday, 23 January 2004 21:14 (twenty-two years ago)

which is probably good because, though twista may be one-note, kanye seems to have the charisma/stage presence of a late period eddie vedder.

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Friday, 23 January 2004 21:18 (twenty-two years ago)

They cut literally all four of my favorite songs. That's a ridiculously bad idea. Especially replacing them with only three songs, one of which features Talib 'completely unlikeable' Kweli.

At least Jesus Walks and 2 Words are still there. Right?

Rollie Pemberton (Rollie Pemberton), Friday, 23 January 2004 21:30 (twenty-two years ago)

I like Talib a lot, at least in theory these days, but his cameos almost invariably suck.

Jordan (Jordan), Friday, 23 January 2004 21:32 (twenty-two years ago)

"Jesus Walks" and "2 Words" are both still on there, and the latter is the next video/single.

Eddie Vedder? that's even more puzzling than your Peedi Crakk/Magoo comparison. Strongo, you so crazy!

Al (sitcom), Saturday, 24 January 2004 07:20 (twenty-two years ago)

spaceships is on westwood right now this second, heavy

prima fassy (bob), Saturday, 24 January 2004 23:32 (twenty-two years ago)

and the new jesus walks is mad

prima fassy (bob), Saturday, 24 January 2004 23:34 (twenty-two years ago)

now tim and kanye are busy eating chicken nuggets so SAS are introducing never 'let you down'

prima fassy (bob), Saturday, 24 January 2004 23:35 (twenty-two years ago)

four weeks pass...
Which is the one with the gospel choir that goes "I can't live my life this way"?

JoB (JoB), Monday, 23 February 2004 19:30 (twenty-two years ago)

eight years pass...

which is probably good because, though twista may be one-note, kanye seems to have the charisma/stage presence of a late period eddie vedder.
