two years pass...

I've only finally gotten into Wovenhand recently via the new album -- personally I think it's all much better than 16 Horsepower, who I never minded per se. Currently listening to a radio broadcast from a couple of years back and it's frighteningly powerful.

I really really liked the first one and then Blush Music, but everything since just seems like he's found the tools he likes to use and then phones in the results.

It might feel fresher to me since I'm progressing from the opposite direction, newest first. He does definitely have an approach but I thought the variety on the new album was worth it.

Seems like a curious opening act + headliner pairing, given the outspoken Christianity of the former and the avowed anti-religious stances the latter has taken over the course of the last, oh, 18 years or so.
