I can't seem to get away from wimpy love songs. Has Mr Shirley Lee been listening to the Field Mice and old Wedding Present albums or what?

There's always been a Gedge element to his lyrics, though - or a Cocker element, to finesse it slightly.

Um, is it any good? I quite loved the last one when it was released but don't really find myself listening to it much these days.

Wasn't the last one all Christmassy? And wasn't it released at Not Christmas? That was a bit silly.

This thread question seems to suggest that the recent Spearmint album is particularly weedy. Like way weedier than all the others. Is that possible?

listened to it a couple-three times and it's had some small impact on me. it's way weedy. is oklahoma weedy -- i don't think so. is a week away, locomotion, sweeping the nation -- no, not really.

to be honest the last bis album is having more of an effect on me (it's on the same minidisc) -- which is something I thought I'd never say.
