vaguely surprised that we haven't had a thread on him yet, so this is the place where we obsess over the note-perfect twerky gameboy pop of "scared of girls" and wonder aloud about a full-length of any sort?

also fantastic: his bleepy cover of bronski beat's "smalltown boy"

Yeah I love it - gameboy bubblegum like you say - there's a couple of tracks where he sounds like he's trying too hard to be the Magnetic Fields ("My Heart") and sometimes it gets a little too grinny and twee too ("W.E.E.K.E.N.D.") but "Smalltown Boy", "Scared Of Girls", "Mirrors And Chrome", "Perfect Night Out" are all GREAT tunes!

has it done anything in the uk tom? both "scared of girls" and "smalltown boy" feel like they're following in the richard x aesthetic.

I don't think they've even been released outside of Sweden - certainly everything I have is on MP3 (sorry hard-working Komatrohn ppl!)

three months pass...
ra ra - 'scared of girls' really is great, but i don't think it's note perfect as mark p. it wouldn't be so fun and heartbreaking if it was. have been playing it over and over (both at home and in my head) BUT i played it to my girlfriend and she really really hated it. does this make it even better??
