I used to fancy him/her: what was I thinking?

I was glancing through my old Severed Alliance Morrissey/Marr book whilst in the bath (sheltering from the snow), and I realised that I don't think Morrissey is attractive at all. But when I was 16 I certainly did. Anyone got their own example?

Or alternatively, who (apart from Keith Richards) has aged particularly badly?

When I was 13, I thought Grace Slick was hot. I don't think she ever was though.

hot flashes maybe!

Ugh, as a teenager I liked Brett from Suede. *shudder* Then again, I liked any extremely fey-looking men in a desperate attempt to deny my lesbianism. Scary times. He did sorta look like a girl in '92, though. (Not a very pretty girl.)

I fancied one of Hanson when they appeared (albeit briefly). Then I saw a show that was interviewing them, and introducing them as the three *brothers* who were sweeping the nation with their infectious "MmmBop".

Several years were then spent in severe adolescent sexuality trauma from which I am only beginning to recover. Thanks guys.

Stevie Nicks would be the answer to both questions.

Yeah, the middle Hanson would have made a pretty girl at one point. Hahaha.

Then there are those occasions when you *expect* to think "What was I thinking?" but then you find a Bauhaus album and look on the back cover and realise that yes, David J probably was the most fanciable member. (I would say that Kevin was, too, but I still fear a whack upside the head from my teenage best friend, even two decades later.)

Can I go the opposite way? I used to think Sinead O'Connor was funny looking. Nowadays I think she's gorgeous.

One of (any of?) Bananarama, then Robert Smith. Nuff said.

I thought Pete Townshend was gorgeous! Also, David Bowie (who has aged a little better), and Robert Smith.

I thought all the members of the Alarm were hot. I must have been blind :/

Ewww...he's got all these age lines now, and he's so tall and awkward. Kevin on the other hand is so g-darn adorable you just want to pinch his cheeks.

Any girl in a 4AD band to thread!

(I'm willing to bet that Anthony Kyle Monday still suffers from this particular affliction!)

Aw come on, Elizabeth Fraser is still gorgeous :D

I used to think billy corgan was the hottest when I was 16. I wanted him to do all sorts of bad things to me. These days I find the thought of it completely laughable.
