What up Y'all
I have been asked to do this text for Denmark's best hip hop producer (no, really!). It is supposed to be on his website for bookers and potential employers to see. Any reactions on length, language, clarity, whatever are greatly appreciated, as English is obviously not my first language. Please don't hesitate to suggest improvements.

Thanks,
Jay

Tue Track '72

Tue Track '72 is a Danish producer and scratch dj who has worked with the likes of Common, Madlib and Masta Ace. He's also a member of Malk de Koijn, Denmark's most critically acclaimed and sonically visionary rap combo. (link to his music)

Tue Track '72 is also a highly original and atmospheric club DJ. His warm-blooded selection of hip hop old and new skool, spiced up with electro, rare grooves and the odd 1980ies track has made him one of Scandinavia's most groovy party dj's. (link to his set lists)

Tue Track '72 says that his music "was never made for a car". Hence, we're not talking banging jeep beats her. The funk is very much present, but his approach to music-making is more about combining unexpected stuff – stuff that shouldn't fit but does. Like cock-a-doodle latin samples gracing a club track. Or surf guitar on top of a corny organ preset beat. This is his way of living the competitive and challenging B-Boy aesthetic in 2004 – »check this out!«, »now you top this!«.

Tue Track '72 grew up in a country with a language so small that most well-known rappers can't even make a decent living from their skills. In other words, bling bling has never been an issue. Creative competitiveness has, though. And having gotten into the culture in the 'Style Wars' era, his tracks and dj sets do not aimlessly follow the latest production craze. Luckily, he's neither a tired traditionalist marred by strict crate digging codes. As he demands from his own work: "It's got to move both you and your ass. And push the envelope".

Bla bla bla etc.

There's a 'her' rather than a 'here' in para 3. Otherwise, spellingwise, fine.

Except.. . "cock-a-doodle latin samples" wha?

I was wondering about that as well. Maybe Tracer Hand knows.

"1980s" not "1980ies"
