ARGH DECISIONS DECISIONS ARGH

Hm. 81. I seriously think it's one of the best concerts anyone ever did anywhere.

WHERE'S COLIN AND PATRICK IN THIS BITCH?

'81, btw. just for the intro to "this wreckage."

Colin here. I'm plumping for '81, because that was my favourite side back in the day (1983). May I add, this double LP (on cassette) was the first record I EVER bought. WHAT a start. I thought all live albums were going to be that good - how wrong I was.

Can't remember which of the sides it's from (prob 1979), but 'Dream Police' and "Everyday I Die' really shone in a live setting.

So, no Living Ornaments '80 then. :(

No, not unless they found the tapes -- see, the reason why '80 never got rereleased was that apparently either the original tapes were lost or too damaged or something. But the upshot was releasing '81 for the first time officially, which as noted above is frickin' genius and a half, so I'm not complaining too much. And the '79 rerelease is no slouch either.

I have this double gate-fold vinyl issue of '79 and '80... So I guess I have a fraction of the '79 2-CD, and what would be a fraction of the '80 2-CD, on vinyl. (I have both 2-CDs for '79 and '81.. yet to give both the full listens to weigh in here.)

You really really should. Really.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 23 June 2005 16:20 (twenty-one years ago)

yup! Did anyone see him live in this era? Probably a bit to early for all of us, even the old codgers.
