Details, stevem, details! *How* close was it then??

i carried it around Virgin Megastore for about 15 minutes - it was only £8.99. also picked up Guns n Roses hits and an Etienne de Crecy disc featuring the vids from his Tempovision album - only those two made it to the counter. i'm not really sure what exactly i want with all these music DVDs.

Yeah... A pal of mine has ca 1500 movies on disc and lately he also has grown kinda unsure what exactly he wants with all those films.

"Dear Jon Lord, I nearly bought the gorgonian Concerto for Group and Orchestra DVD... I was, and you were, in my dreaam. You, and your concerto, were running in circles around me. Who do you think you are, Lord? Awakening me so rudely, too early on a Saturday morn!?

Sleeplessly not yours,
..."

I've no idea what's on the Gorillaz DVD, but I'd take that over a G'n'R hits thing any day.

just saying.

Good thing you didn't, because it's £3 in Fopp. It's almost tempting.

James Mitchell (James Mitchell), Saturday, 31 January 2004 21:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Got one. £3 in Fopp, some time ago.

It's fine as a 'pitch' to make a movie, for financiers.

As a £20 box set (as I first saw it in HMV) it's a damn insult.

As a £3 cheapie, it's ok. Some videos, some interviews, and some brief funny / not funny skits.

Pay no more than £3. Even if you can't get to a Fopp/similar, do not pay more for it. Oh disc 2 is a PC disc, screensavers and I dunno I havent tried it.

Oh also, the 'extra' is if you visit all the 'rooms' you get a new menu where you can get to a 'spacemonkey's remix of something or other. I found that out off an easter eggs site. I guess it's one of the tracks off the spacemonkeys remix album (also £3 in fopp a while ago, all gone I think and better value blah etc).

God, who paid £15 for this and didn't take it back or try to... Bad ripoff monkey Bad Bad Bad

Uh, how many Tempovision videos were there, just "Am I Wrong" and "Scratched", no?

Buying any Guns n Roses material should be a punishable offence though.

Siegbran (eofor), Monday, 2 February 2004 23:05 (twenty-two years ago)

there was also a video for the album's title track 'Tempovision' done in the same style as the other two - it wasn't single everywhere (not UK at least afaik) but it was a top ten hit in Hungary(!!!!!!)

stevem (blueski), Monday, 2 February 2004 23:07 (twenty-two years ago)

the GnR DVD is a MUST-OWN just for the bits in the 'Don't Cry' video where a) Slash and his girlfriend drive over the cliff only Slash somehow got out in time and ends up playing his solo on the clifftop as a cheeky 'ha ha' to his perished betrothed and b) when Axl is lying on the bed in the clinic and TWO OTHER AXLS come in and sing to him. genius.

stevem (blueski), Monday, 2 February 2004 23:09 (twenty-two years ago)
