Freelance opportunities?

Is there a way we can all talk about freelance opportunities we hear about, either UK or Stateside? I know the pie is getting smaller, and we're all fairly hungry, but perhaps some of those full-time folks have heard of opportunities?

nine years pass...

Not sure if there's a better place to post things like this, but I am an editor for an alt weekly paper, and I usually have a few assignments that I can easily fish out to national writers, mostly involving interviewing/profiling touring musicians that come through my city. I would especially love to find writers who can write intelligently about rap, pop acts, other non-indie stuff, so if that's your wheelhouse that's a big plus. If you've got some experience and are looking for an occasional gig, hit me up: evan at shepex dot com.

is this continent specific, or open to international hopefuls ?

And paying?

It's definitely paid; not amazing money but more or less in line with what most weeklies pay. Not sure about international writers, though, unfortunately, the logistics of taxes and payment forms and sending out checks outside the U.S. seem like a big headache.
