My guess would be Oxycontin, but does anyone know if that is a typical treatment for migraines?

The release of Wilco's new Nonesuch album, "A Ghost Is Born," has been moved from June 8 to June 22 "to accommodate Tweedy's recovery."

Well, actually reading the article itself made me a little weirded out, since I am somewhat phobic about having random visitations of incapacitating illness.

Can someone explain to me the significane of the getting-sick scene in the movie being "out of order"? I didn't see I Am Trying so I don't know what it's all about.

Well, if you're a fan of Wilco you're going to care more about this than you would about non-famous drug addicts, just like you're going to care more about a friend who's a drug addict than the methhead on the corner. Whether or not you like Wilco, plenty of people do, and I'm sure they feel like they connect more with Jeff Tweedy than they do with the "other non-famous drug addicts in this country."

I think the reasons are twofold in the case of any public figure: a) to head off publicity, and b) perhaps to get a little press. I can't imagine Wilco needs any more press, it's probably just the pre-emptive strike

Tweedy's struggles with migraines were on display in the Wilco documentary "I am Trying To Break Your Heart." In a key scene that illustrated his irreparable rift with since-departed band member Jay Bennett, Tweedy becomes sick to his stomach from a migraine while mixing the song "Heavy Metal Drummer" for the 2002 album "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot."

In Greg Kot's upcoming Wilco book "Learning How To Die," Bennett says the footage of Tweedy becoming ill is out of sequence; Tweedy insists it is not.

Is Bennett saying it looks like he, personally, is making Tweedy physically ill? I didn't see the scene that way, but it's been a while and the movie made me sleepy (I love Wilco, but the film was pretty dullsville).

I don't dislike him personally. I've never met the guy. I do dislike Wilco though and I could care less if they release any more music, frankly. As for his struggles with drug addiction, I care a hell of a lot more about all the junkies who aren't going to get the best care money can buy at Betty Ford than I do about YET another celeb's smack problems.

For the question way way above about the sequencing: There was a scene where Jay and Jeff were having a disagreement about the mixing of "Heavy Metal Drummer." It wasn't so much an argument as an unwillingness to comprehend, and Jeff more or less gave up on trying to explain his POV to Jay. The next scene was of Jeff yakking in the bathroom and unconvincingly explaining that he'd been susceptible to illness throughout his childhood. I guess Jay doesn't want people to think he made Jeff sick (though frankly, if he wanted to take issue with his portrayal in the film, he's got better targets than that).

Please. Their manager is probably responsible for the entirety of the noise that was made about the label drama. His gloating about the irony of staying on Warners was particularly annoying. Also, I'd argue that major hype builders/whiners Kot and DeRogatis could be considered virtual members of Wilco. The band basically has it's own writers/critics amongst its fold.

Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy has been released from rehab, following treatment for an addiction to painkillers. Tweedy told Rolling Stone, "I struggled with depression and anxiety and panic disorder. I went to a dual diagnosis center that treated the chemical dependency and the depression. I had never put it together that these things were intertwined, the depression, the migraines and the medication. I'm not embarrassed about it at all. It was a really beautiful experience." Wilco's new album, A Ghost is Born, hits stores on June 22.
