O.k., I've got the El records one - what else? Specifically to the groovy italo-spy beat or the big psych-exploitation soundtracks.

MORRICONE 2001! Great selection, chosen and annotated by Alan Bishop (I believe) of Sun City Girls.

Is that good? I've been looking forward to it but made a pledge not to purchase any more cds in 2005.

n/a (Nick A.), Monday, 28 November 2005 19:29 (twenty years ago)

I think it is good, yes.

Corcoran (nordicskilla), Monday, 28 November 2005 19:30 (twenty years ago)

Yeah, Crime And Dissonance is great. By all means pick it up.

Agreed

Whiney G. Weingarten (whineyg), Monday, 28 November 2005 19:59 (twenty years ago)

After I heard Crime & Dissonance, I ended my search for Morricone releases. This encompasses everything I want from the man: psychedelic, unpredictable beauty and mystery in vivid abundance.

Dave Segal (Da ve Segal), Tuesday, 29 November 2005 04:42 (twenty years ago)

Oh shit, I misread the thread title as "point me to the direction of good Morricone SAMPLES," and was about to send you Wu and Gorillaz' way.

joseph cotten (joseph cotten), Tuesday, 29 November 2005 07:30 (twenty years ago)

Crime And Dissonance is freakin' amazing. Alan Bishop did a great job.

sleeve (sleeve), Monday, 13 February 2006 22:27 (twenty years ago)

Morricone 2000 and Morricone 2001 are also compiled by Bishop, in effect Crime and Dissonance should have been issed as morricone 2002 before going to Ipecac
