Anyways, I'll indulge. I hear the obvious Iggy lift most prevelantly, but I also hear another lift of the Stones "Sympathy for the Devil" in the chorus. Sometimes I think it's about to head into the Who's "My Generation" too. Maybe it's just me though ... Thinking too much about pathetic song ...

because of 1) fucking stupid Apple Computer motherfucking "think different" fuckheads. Hate that company. 2) Too derivative; not necessarily a bad thing in and of itself but this just crosses the line. 3) Lame unreconstructed "c'mere WOman" sentiment.

Really it's just so cloddish and unnuanced; it makes me appreciate what a great band we have had going in the White Stripes. If the Stripes are Nirvana these guys are Silverchair.

Silverchair, Daniel Johns in particular, are doing great stuff. Van Dyke Parks who worked on the Chair's latest album is a big fan of Daniel's compositional abilities for one.

I like the Jet song, it's catchy, and I don't know why or how they should be apologetic. Should they start the song with a 5 second apology to all the artists they ripped off? (now there's an idea)

But yes it's derivative in a 'this is pop so who cares' way.
