aren't they on track and field? some country band. probably not very good as most country indie bands from the uk are not. other than moose of course. or it could be some other band.

Yep, they're shit. Saw them opening for Herman Dune, they seemed to be enjoying themselves, no other bugger was.

yes. keep the vitriol coming. all the above it true. country, uk - WTF!

Actually, that Herman Dune gig, whilst HD killed it as usual, had a support band even worse than the Broken Family Band. Something like They Came From The Wrong Side of Town, possibly the worst band I've ever been subjected to in any medium ever.

more praise for Herman Dune tho - those guys are great

The Broken Family band are ace. They've always put on great live shows, and have a sense of humour in their songs, which is something I love in bands. They're trying for that alt-country thing, but yet still so British in their sound

I prefer Robert Randolph and the Family Band. "I! NEED! MORE! LOVE! EV-ER-Y DAY! OF MY LIIIIIFE!"

Oh shut up. You know it rules.

I believe Darran out of Hefner was trying his new bluegrass direction supporting the Broken Family in Leytonstone tonight. This makes me happy.

I love the Broken Family Band. They write and play far too sweet to be alt anything, and their ears for a proper tune is impeccable. I've been listening to Cold Water Songs a lot this week, it's an apt February album, frosty and downbeat and melancholy-pretty.
