so...james fox is our eurovision entry, is he? how splendid..
James Fox made a name for himself through the BBC1 show Fame Academy. Born James Mullet on 6 April 1976, he started learning to play the piano at the age of seven, and these days also plays the guitar and drums.
As well as working as a session singer, he's entertained British troops in Bosnia and the Falklands, and has toured as support for Liberty X.

Oh, and Eamon for #1.
To everyone pleasantly surprised by "This Love" - do not bother with the album. None of the songs are like, or as good as TL. Boo.

The BBC website has one of Marillion 'asking the fans to buy three copies each'.
Now, as some of you might remember, John Otway did a similar thing re getting the fanbase to buy a single, to get another hit 24 years after the last one. One of the things they were quite careful about is playing to the BPI rules (which are published in a volume). One point being that it's OK to get the fanbase to buy the single, and even to buy each format. But getting the fans to buy more than one of each format constitutes hyping, and this could get the single banned off the chart. This banning has happened quite often before, and it was by staying within the margins that John Otway's campaign succeeeded.
... just saying...

Singles chart predictably bereft of any real shocks, poss excepting Pink though whether anyone expected her to do anything is debatable.
But things are happening in the album chart! Sort of.
