In the format of the old 45-playin' jukeboxes. Let's ignore A/B side and go for, say, 100 songs.

C0L1N B3CK3TT (Colin Beckett), Monday, 19 April 2004 19:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Ignoring the B sides is a grave error.

mark grout (mark grout), Monday, 19 April 2004 20:07 (twenty-two years ago)

if we are doing a and b sides then:
8. symarip: a:skinhead moonstomp

jb, Monday, 19 April 2004 20:39 (twenty-two years ago)

I might start a jukebox tread tomorrow with a's and b's...

Failing that,

9. Public Image
9b.The Cowboy Song

(I saw this at a beach jukebox, paid 5p (market rates were 10p at the time) only to get Status Quo. When I asked, I got "oh yeah they all fell out the other day and I put them all back in, however they all got mixed up)

mark grout (mark grout), Monday, 19 April 2004 20:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Fine, let's make it A's and B's. But I meant 100 songs each person.

C0L1N B3CK3TT (Colin Beckett), Monday, 19 April 2004 21:00 (twenty-two years ago)

FORBIDDEN: Patsy Cline's "Crazy" and that horrible Pogues Xmas song

sexyDancer, Monday, 19 April 2004 21:03 (twenty-two years ago)

But I meant 100 songs each person.

This is key.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 19 April 2004 21:10 (twenty-two years ago)

JBR: my bar would be like masa -- only six seatings at one time
CKB: excellent!
JBR: and you leave when i say you do
JBR: "ok, you're done drinking. OUT!"
CKB: "you there... LEAVE!"
JBR: hahahaa
JBR: jukebox is nothing but prog, obscurodisco, and eastern european minimalists
CKB: excellent!

as long as there's no Grandaddy, I'll drink there

roger adultery (roger adultery), Monday, 19 April 2004 21:20 (twenty-two years ago)

also i really like the whole "don't be an asshole or THIS GUY (cut to big burly bar owner) will kick your puny fratboy hide out on the street" policy at siberia. (they mean it, too.)

stockholm cindy (Jody Beth Rosen), Monday, 19 April 2004 21:42 (twenty-two years ago)

I was getting into Sibera once and the bouncer did the "No hitting on women" bit in a stern voice to a group of just about the gayest pansies in the city. Classic.

20. The Nuns "You Think You're the Best"

Baaderoni (Fabfunk), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 14:20 (twenty-two years ago)

I just want to say I'm tired of going to bars where the majority of the cd's in the juke box are homemade mix cd's. when i'm drinking, it's just too much to scan. who's w/ me?

ps. Jez'z idea sounds the best to me.

not me. i prefer mix cds to regular one-artist-per-album cds because on "real" cds there's only ever one or two songs that anyone knows and you have to hear those over and over every time you go to the bar.
