Johnny Jungle's "Johnny" vs. Remarc & Lewi's "Ricky" vs. Subnation's "Scottie" which "oh shit look at what happened to that poor guy" darkcore/jungle track is your favorite (also if there are other random name-titled darkcore tracks with screams/crying/terror/etc then feel free to nominate those too. . . also feel free to pick any of the various remixes of these three tracks.)

I started this cuz I just got the second Drum and Bass Selection and finally heard the Origin Unknown remix of "Johnny 94". The crying on that is really unsettling.

Also the Unreleased Dubs version of "Ricky" is much much better than the very good original.

i think the creepiest darkcore track is actually still 4hero's "the elements", however

Just for Don Maclean alone probably. Still no one's name is called out so it should be eliminated from this competition.

actually that's not true. if you play the speeded up choral thing backwards they are singing "kirk degiorogiogiooooooooooo"

Hahaha if only!

yeah, "scottie" by a mile. the whole "is there a way around the bridge?" thing is probably my favourite self-referential song-structure metawhatever moment (haha & only right now have I discovered that it samples Evil Dead, not Star Trek!).

most freaked out I have ever been by darkcore - walking at 2am from the west side to the east side of rotorua on a tuesday night, & deciding that taking twenty minutes to walk through the narrow bamboo-lined rough trails/wasteland by the sewage plant/etc was safer than walking along te ngae road, listening to a darkcore tape I'd made. I mean "Terminator" & so on had make me edgy, but when the bit at the of "Baptised by Dub" came in with all the freaked-out scratching & shit (& I think I heard, y'know, something moving out there), I nearly had a heart attack (hurrah huge andrenalin boost tho).
