yeah I saw that...usually this would make me a little suspicious..but I'd have to say if there is a rap group in the world that is spiritually heavy metal...it's MOP...

I would have preferred M.O.P + the Soul Rebels Brass Band, but surely if anyone can make rap-rock not suck, it's them?

This is either going to be the most amazing thing in the world or the worst.

I had that same thought at first, but it's funny how things with that tag usually turn out to be just...mediocre.

" With Jay-Z, they also recorded “4 Alarm Blaze,” a song that sampled Foreigner’s Rocky II classic, “Eye of the Tiger.”"

Uh, sorry, but that's a Survivor song, dude. Though I believe MOP do sample "Cold As Ice" in a different song. (And doesn't one of their songs have "House of the Rising Sun" in it, too?) Anyway, this album could be really good. Or it could be some inept Body Count/*Justice Night crap, who knows.

IS there any stupid stunt a post-Jigga Rocafella won't try?

paulhw (paulhw), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 19:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Uh, Rocafella isn't releasing it.

C0L1N B3CK3TT (Colin Beckett), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 19:43 (twenty-two years ago)

And it's not like this is some HUGE surprise.

I heard Memphis Bleek is going to jump through a hoop of fire and over 20 schoolbuses on a motorcycle!

M@tt He1geson (Matt Helgeson), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 19:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Are there sharks in the schoolbuses?

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 19:45 (twenty-two years ago)

I just want to add to Chuck's complaint: not only is that Survivor, but that's Rocky III, dude. An equally huge mistake.

Hurlothrumbo (hurlothrumbo), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 19:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Definitely Rocky III, though -- the greatest of them all.
