and I've been asked to use music that's "Squarepusher-esque" but i'd love to give some shine to a more current IDM (gag) artiste that's inna similar stylee, and would accurately reflect a person's addled, attention-deficient mindset so I can sell them some more fucking uneccessary drugs to alter their brain chemstry. suggestions much appreciated.

oh, and it can't be too 'scary": more spastic than anything else.

V/Vm? might fall into the "scary" category

the surface noise (electricsound), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 21:53 (twenty-two years ago)

i was messing around with one of their tracks, it was close, but a little too scary for the suits.

mingering, Tuesday, 20 April 2004 21:55 (twenty-two years ago)

prolly too scarry.

dyson (dyson), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 22:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Maybe Hrvatski or Kid-606.

Mark (MarkR), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 22:07 (twenty-two years ago)

something from the static caravan or morr labels might be more appropriate if you're trying to keep down the scare factor.

noodle vague (noodle vague), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 22:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Thing about using "Sign" is it would make being ADD seem better than being normal.

An adult ADD drug?

Are you people insane?

Son, burn all the material you have. Take your tapes, discs, whatever, get some "gas", go find a bin in the street and burn all that shit.

Better still, try and work some subliminal messages in there - THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS ADD. WE, THE GOVERNMENT, ARE DRUGGING YOU AS A FORM OF SOCIAL CONTROL.

Please, for the love of God, stop pathologising and medicalising everyone.

Alternatively, perhaps use some Beefheart. He could never concentrate.

SHTML might work, lots of good album tracks too. Jona has done some ad work before, reasonable rates.

Kevin Erickson, Wednesday, 21 April 2004 14:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Screw you BB Skimpster. We're not talking psychiatry here. She just wanted some suggestions. ADD does exist. Wanker.

EveBallion, Wednesday, 21 April 2004 19:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Just queue up "Ventolin" and call it a day.

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 19:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Orbit (Orbit), Thursday, 22 April 2004 04:58 (twenty-two years ago)
