I'm not gonna pretend to have heard anything other than "Soft Inside" but I'm interested in this board's reaction to this album.
And any other dancehall albums that have come out so far in 2004 that are worth hearing.

I don't think "Soft Inside" is on the album though it's great yes.

I'm looking forward to this a lot though.

Yeah it's not but it was the only song of hers I've heard and I love it, so I thought I'd mention it.

Have you heard the leak?

I think this might be
my favorite album of
this young year so far.

she is funny and
sexy and feminist and
retro all at once,

rockist reggae songz!
she loads her man's gun but first
sings "I Am Woman"

songs are deep and wide,
she's got soul but also brains,
dancehall's greatest hit

Haikus describe it
with elegance and grace too
much like her music.

Tanya's "Can't Breathe" rules
sings: "Can't eat, can't sleep, can't breathe,"
Can't stop listening.

THIS IS FUCKING GREAT

Do we call the sentiments of "Way Back" reggaeism, though?

God I've got to get this. Import prices, Slsk queues and my crappy computer are all conspiring against me, though.

The Lex (The Lex), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 07:33 (twenty-two years ago)

three years pass...

This is a great album.

"It's A Pity" is the shit.
