Hand Claps- Classic or Dud

I am referring to the Beatles "Here Comes the Sun". Those hand claps towards the end of the song are so arhythmic I can't believ they are really human. It has to be a tape loop.

There is something about primitive percussion.

Could anyone point out some classic handclapping a la Blues singers, childrens songs, etc.?

Classic for "I Want To Hold Your Hand" alone.

Also, "artificial" handclaps always sounded great in late 70s/early 80s dance music.

Replicas and Telekon by Tubeway Army/Gary Numan have loads of tracks with real hand claps. All other music you mentioned is shite.

My band was recording and we decided to overdub a track of handclaps during a solo. We all got in a booth with headphones, and of course, being the drummer, even after three times I couldn't get the timing right and fucked up the song. So, ah, Dud if I have anything to do with it.
