Should I see Holger Czukay live?

Herr Czukay is playing soon in NYC, and I'd like to have some idea of what to expect from his live performance before shelling out the ducats. The brief write-up on his website makes it sound as if he's essentially doing a DJ/mixing set, and the nature of his solo albums is such that I suspect he's very much a studio-oriented musician. While his music is great, an evening of watching him twirl knobs might not be my cup of tea (I'm aware that he's not likely to whip out a bass guitar or French horn, but still...). Does anyone have any idea what he's like in a live setting?

I was one of the few people who enjoyed his san francisco concert with dr. walker, and it was entirely due to the fun of watching holger's gestural mixing. dr. walker's generic beats didn't get in the way, and holger was storming pure noise over the top.

I can't imagine him only doing a dj set, if it's czukay, it'll be live music. plus, if you don't go you are crazy.

unfortunately my musical singing partner u-she cannot accompany me this time as she became too weak after a serious illness.

he won't be doing a simple dj set in these venues.

while I'm sorry to hear u-she has been ill, I have to say I'm not the biggest fan of most of her singing.

fucking hell, I'm flying in from London the day of the SF show! I'm going to be feeling like death but I'll be there.

But will he whip out his dictaphone? Or might he get arrested for doing that?
