david berman (or clone) volkswagen radio ad??!!

i just heard a radio ad for volkswagen playing in a nondescript deli here in NYC that stopped me in my tracks. i was certain while hearing it that it was david berman of the silver jews talking and relating some sincere but decidedly unclever bit about being so excited (but clearly not) about their new offer, whatever it indeed was. anyone have any confirmation or denial (just a clone) type of info? i figured this was the place to ask.
