There's a track they're playing in the clubs at the moment which has a bloke ranting over the top of it, listing a whole load of cities and countries (none of which I can remember, but it goes something like this): "New York, Los Angeles, London, Deutschland, Albania - wherever the fuck that is".

Any ideas?

...could be Lemon Jelly's Travelling Man (I think that's the title)

two weeks pass...
Answering my own question, I have discovered it's "In The Beginning" by Hool & Bruckheimer. Doesn't sound as good in the light of day as it does trollied. Time to rectify that, methinks...

ten years pass...

I was going to say every Pitbull song ever.

I'm looking for a reggae-sounding song I heard this weekend.

Only thing I could hear is that the chorus repeatedly says something like "Juju dancing" but searching for reggae juju dancing song throws nothing so maybe I misheard and it's something else completely which sounds like it.

Any ideas?

five years pass...

Early-mid 2000s slow electro-style track that just has a robotic voice repeating 'GALACTICA' every bar or so. Any ideas?

it might not actually be 'Galactica' but something very similar

Could it be a remix of Beastie Boys 'Intergalactic'?

Dan Worsley, Friday, 5 June 2020 14:01 (six years ago)

no, fraid knot. this slow chugging electrohouse tune I remember in my head from that era but can't work it out

two years pass...

Early/mid 2000s electro(ish) tune with a male vocal singing something like "I'm a spring / I'm a cog / I'm a wheel / I'm a part of the machine". I seem to remember it slowed down and sped up in places

Oh no! I hadn't even seen the thread. Been away form the computer. Thought it usually happened a bit later. Thanks for reminding me

one year passes...

I still wanna know this track. Definitely 2000s (I'm sure I was listening to it c2004) and the lyrics were something similar to (but not exactly) "I'm a spring / I'm a cog / I'm a wheel / I am something you can feel... I'm a part of the machine". English accent. Had a pumping techno/house vibe with electro-pop elements. Closest thing I could say it sounded like was Tim Exile but more 4/4, less obviously technical.

Almost certain I heard about it through ILM back in the day
